PH is a scale used to indicate the pH of an aqueous solution, from 0 to 14, 0-6 is acidic, 8-14 is alkaline, and 7 is neutral, it’s the PH value of water.
The human skin produces a slightly acidic secretion to help protect itself, resulting in a skin pH of roughly 5.5, a slightly acidic range that prevents microbes from irritating, penetrating, or otherwise damaging the overall health of the skin and body. The most effective way to cleanse the skin is to use an alkaline foaming system (soap) to remove excess oil, dirt, and bacteria. But too high a pH can destroy this acidic protective layer.
The PH of soap has always been more controversial, with some preferring a mild wash and some preferring a strong cleaning ability. The PH of normal soap is between 7-10, and yes, the PH of different soaps can vary, depending on the ingredients and manufacturing process, the more thoroughly saponified the soap, the higher the PH, but the moisturizing will be worse, the cleaning and moisturizing are exchanged with each other, so when the cleanliness is high, the moisturizing effect will be low, and vice versa.
So what PH value is the best? We recommend using a soap with a PH value of 9.
